has honoured sentiments of Hindu community by not allowing killing of a bull infected with tuberculosis. But in with Hindu-majority population, ban on cow-slaughter is only a state-subject thus allowing states like Kerala hurting religious sentiments of Hindus by allowing cow-slaughter there. Constitution should be amended to make cow-slaughter a subject of centre rather than states to impose nationwide ban on cow-slaughter keeping in view of religious sentiments of majority-population.
